Güzelçamlı is a neighborhood of Aydın's Kuşadası district.
The history of Güzelçamlı dates back to BC. It dates back to the 700s. During the Ionian period, the region was the convention center of the Ionian city-states and was called Panionion. The Ionians formed a federation of 12 Ionian cities and also held games here to celebrate their meeting. Excavations in 1957 and 1958 uncovered an ancient theater with 12 rows of seats carved into the rock. Many famous battles were fought in this region, including the Battle of Mycale between Greek and Persian forces.
During the Ottoman period, the town was often referred to as Rumçamlısı' (Greek Çamlı) and was completely populated by the Greeks. In the final phase of the Greco-Turkish War (1919-1922) (September 7, 1922), as the Turkish army approached, the townspeople fled by boats and sought refuge on the nearby island of Samos, after which the town remained empty for nearly two years. In 1924, as part of the population exchange between Greece and Turkey, it repopulated with Turks from Leftere near Kavala. The name of the settlement was changed to Güzelçamlı and Güzelçamlı, which had a village status for seventy years, was declared a district with its own municipality in 1992. On October 11, 1991, it became a municipality by taking the status of municipality.
Güzelçamlı is a preserved holiday resort. There are many hotels, small pensions, holiday homes, restaurants, bars and shops. Monday is the town's regular market day, and the traditional market is held once a week along the main street. Sailing, windsurfing, canoeing, water skiing, fishing, diving and boat tours are available along the beaches and coves of the 30 km (19 mi) coastline along the clear sea. Other possibilities are paragliding, mountaineering, trekking, bird watching, botanical tours, horseback riding, cycling and to some extent hunting. Davutlar's hot spring and Turkish baths are 5 km (3 mi) away and open year-round. In Güzelçamlı, there is usually a breeze coming from the sea during the day and from the mountains at night.
Zeus Cave is in the Dilek Peninsula-Büyük Menderes Delta National Park, west of the town.
There is also a breed of rabbit named Güzelçamlı rabbit, which takes its name from the town.
