Calis, which is defined as the place where the sunset can be watched most beautifully, is the district with its 4 km long beach, cool breeze on hot summer evenings, "Caretta Carettas", its sea suitable for water sports, numerous quality accommodation facilities, restaurants, bars, shopping and transportation opportunities. It is one of the most popular tourist destinations.

There are restaurants, bars and hotels along the beach. A 3 km long hiking trail follows the coastline. Many activities are also held here, including surfing.

Also known as Calis beach, Koca Calis is located at the western entrance of Fethiye. Calis is one of the most popular tourist areas of Fethiye, 45 km from Dalaman airport, 7 km from Fethiye center and 25 km from Ölüdeniz beach. One of the most important things in Calis beach is the giant and friendly sea turtles Carretta Carretta. Calis beach is one of the nesting beaches of these turtles. They come to Calis beach every year and lay their eggs in the sand. From time to time, you may have the chance to see the hatchlings and their families on the beach.

Calis is also known for windsurfing. It has a nice breeze that will cool you down on hot summer days and nights. This breeze has made the area one of the popular windsurfing and kiting destinations. Towards the end of the beach, there is a school and cafe for windsurfing and kiting.
