Bozburun and its surroundings on Piri Reis's map

Bozburun got its name from its geographical appearance. Its mountains are gray and it has a natural nose. Among the most important livelihoods are tourism, fishing and boat building.

Bozburun is famous for gulet type yachts. More than half of the yachts and gulets in Marmaris marina are Bozburun construction.

Bozburun was chosen for the holiday because it has a quiet and clean environment. In addition, many hostels and restaurants serve vacationers.

Bozburun and its surroundings can be considered outside of the highly touristicized, less natural and high-priced part of Marmaris. This area caters to the type of tourist who wants a quieter holiday, a lifestyle close to village life.
